Lucien Fischer
baritone
Lucien is a freelance singer and arts administrator based in Melbourne. He graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Classical Voice from the University of Western Australia in 2013, and for many years was a member of the professional choirs of St George’s Cathedral, and a core member and eventual Artistic Director of The Giovanni Consort.
After leaving Perth in 2015, Lucien quickly established himself in Melbourne as a sought-after small ensemble singer. For the past decade he has performed regularly with Polyphonic Voices, the Consort of Melbourne, the Australian Chamber Choir, and the Astra Choir, and further afield with the likes of The Song Company, the Adelaide Chamber Singers, the Australian Voices, and St Mary’s Cathedral Choir Sydney. His singing has taken him on multiple tours of Europe and Asia and seen him collaborate with ensembles such as I Fagiolini, the Academy of Ancient Music, and the Sistine Chapel Choir. Lucien has been a core member of Luminescence Chamber Singers since 2022.
Lucien also enjoys getting involved behind the scenes, and – in addition to his work as a concert photographer – is renowned as a highly-skilled and experienced arts administrator and event producer, having held key positions at Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, and most recently the Canberra International Music Festival.
