Lucien Fischer
baritone
Lucien is an arts administrator and freelance singer based in Melbourne. He graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Classical Voice from the University of Western Australia in 2013, and for seven years was a member of the professional choirs of St George’s Cathedral, and a core member and eventual Artistic Director of The Giovanni Consort.
Lucien moved to Melbourne in 2015 and was a key member of the team delivering the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition, before taking up administrative positions at the University of Melbourne, and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. He currently works at Melbourne Chamber Orchestra as Artistic Operations Manager.
Lucien is in demand as a small ensemble singer and maintains a busy performing schedule. In Melbourne he is a core member of the Consort of Melbourne, and makes regular appearances with the Australian Chamber Choir, the Astra Choir, and Polyphonic Voices. Further afield, he has performed with The Song Company, the Adelaide Chamber Singers, the Australian Voices, St Mary’s Cathedral Choir Sydney, and Luminescence Chamber Singers in Canberra. His singing has taken him on multiple tours of Europe and Asia and has seen him collaborate with groups such as I Fagiolini, the Academy of Ancient Music, and the Sistine Chapel Choir.
